Plagiarism Policy

The editorial team at HJLL shows zero tolerance for plagiarism. Plagiarism which broadly means representing someone else’s words or ideas as one’s own can be in the form of taking material from other sources, including the Internet, and/or deliberately failing to give credit to the original sources or authors. It can also involve improper use of citation and documentation in a way that constitutes plagiarism, even though unintended.
We treat plagiarism as a serious violation of academic integrity. Any manuscript containing any plagiarized material or section will not be published and/or withdrawn if plagiarism is proved at any stage even after publication. The plagiarism checking software, Turnitin, provided by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) is used to check the Similarity Index, and in any case the permissive limit of 19% cannot be violated.
